Description: This position is located at MCAS Miramar, CA and will support the F-35 Program. Due to the dynamic environment supporting flying operations, and pilot training the incumbent may be required to work 1st or 2nd shift and a non-standard work schedule. Some travel may be required. Due to local mission requirements, a Top Secret/SCI clearance will be required, in the future.

　　This position will perform duties as a Security Generalist (SG). Duties will include, but are not limited to: assist instructors, students and visitors using facilities; operate badging and access control systems; monitor security camera systems; perform random entry/exit searches; enforce all DoN, local security procedures and practices, DoD Manual 5205.07 Vol 1-4, ICD 705, TSCO responsibilities, controlling access to secure facilities, handling and storage of classified documents and electronic media, and monitoring compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC; provide assistance with file plans and documentation maintenance in classified containers; change combinations and generate SF 700s; assist in self inspections and prepare for customer inspections; perform and document vault alarm tests; assist in security inquiries; assist in providing training and scheduling of vault hours and coverage in specified squadrons or Pilot Training Center (PTC), and additional duties as required/assigned.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　1. Current Secret security clearance investigation within 5 years from the investigation date.

　　2. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security/SCI clearance if and when local mission requirements dictate.

　　3. Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Access Programs (SAP) accesses.

　　4. Familiar with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.

　　5. Outstanding written and verbal communicative skills.

　　6. knowledge of DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1-3, and ICD 705

　　Desired Skills:

　　1. Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP) environment.

　　2. Prior experience working with and implementing Standard Operating Procedures, Security Plans, and Operations.

　　3. Experience providing briefings and/or training.

　　Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

　　Pay Rate:

　　The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $55,100 - $105,800 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

　　Pay Rate:

　　The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $63,500 - $119,500.
