　　Registered Nurse - CVICU/PCU Unit - 36 hours per week - 12 hour midnight shift

　　$10,000 Sign-on Bonus & $5,000 midnight shift bonus

　　Full-Time Benefit Eligible

　　Shift: Midnights 7:00 pm to 7:30 am with alternating weekend schedule

　　GENERAL SUMMARY:

　　Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

　　UNIT OVERVIEW:

　　24 bed unit. This unit is made up of the CVICU (12 beds) and SICU/Trauma/Neuro ICU (12 beds). The CVICU provides cardiac care for Open hearts, Impella, Baloon pumps, STEMI, Non-STEMI, TAVR, etc. The SICU/Trauma/Neuro provides care for the critically ill patients following surgery, trauma, strokes, neuro trauma, neuro surgery, traumatic brain injuries.

　　EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

　　BSN preferred.

　　Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

　　Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

　　Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

　　Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

　　CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

　　Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
