The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Division for Children, Youth, and Families has a part time vacancy for Secretary II.
SUMMARY:
Reports to the DCYF District Office Supervisor and performs diverse clerical and administrative duties to achieve daily objectives for the Children, Youth and Families Division in a District Office. Upholds the vision and mission of the agency through utilizing the Practice Model theories, beliefs and principles in daily practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides routine clerical support services, as needed, under the instruction of the DCYF District Office Supervisor, and if needed in other units within the District Office to ensure the availability of clerical support services during normal business hours.
Types Court reports, Motions, and other legal documents by utilizing typewriters or personal computers ensuring documents adhere to District Court, permanent records, case record files, and other agency standards/formats.
Answers and screens phone calls and routes calls to appropriate personnel and/or records messages. Assists agencies and attorneys with general questions regarding clientele and confidential matters.
Completes routine forms to open, close, or make changes in case information by collecting information from Juvenile Justice services staff and/or District Court and enters such information in the DCYF case management system.
Confers with District Court personnel and attorneys regarding Court related questions and issues directly related to unit.
Develops and implements routine record management for a large size unit and maintains records to control availability of supplies and forms necessary for effective operation of unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Two years of experience in a secretarial position, one year of which shall have been at the level of Secretary I or its equivalent.
License/Certification: None required.
