About Seasonal Member Services Specialist

  The seasonal customer services specialist will assist with a wide range of work including professionally representing Connexus Energy by serving as a first point of contact by answering member inquiries, along with promoting products and services while providing quality customer service to ensure the appropriate “Connexus Experience.” This temporary position is not eligible for benefits or relocation at this time.

  Based in Ramsey, Connexus Energy is Minnesota’s largest electric distribution cooperative, providing electricity, renewable energy alternatives and related services to 141,000+ residential and commercial members just north of the Twin Cities.   Key Responsibilities and Results

  Manage external customer relationships, using all types of communication devices, by addressing member’s requests in such a manner that creates quality customer relationships.

  Handle a high volume of inbound calls and electronic inquiries in a productive and accurate manner

  Assist walk-in customers in lobby as needed in a professional manner

  Ability to maintain customer satisfaction ratings at or above company standards by way of company surveys and call quality monitoring

  Be able to identify potential risks of identity theft while staying in compliance with the FTC’s Red Flag Rules

  Maintain customer confidentiality while servicing and resolving issues

  Educate customers on Connexus policies and procedures

  Promote the use of various customer programs and services that Connexus offers

  Use proper phone techniques as outlined in the Connexus Experience (Including proper greeting and closing requirements on all incoming calls.)

  Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Talents

  High school diploma or equivalent

  6 months’ experience in a customer service role, with inbound or outbound call center experience preferred

  Computer experience, including the ability to use and toggle between multiple screens, and a basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

  Strong communication skills (speaking, listening, understanding and relaying information, and good writing skills)

  Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Talents

  Ability to effectively work within a team environment

  High degree of personal responsibility with proven ability to work independently

  Ability to organize and prioritize workload

  Ability to work handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
