Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Training Representative for the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Operations Training Team.
This role will be located in Roy, UT and will provide enabling support for all business areas within the SDS portfolio.
Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated Infrastructure.
What You'll Get To Do:
The individual will be responsible for working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new learning products, evaluating and improving existing learning products, collaborating with multiple teams to identify current and future training/knowledge/skill gaps, and administering learning management systems. The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience applying contemporary adult learning theories to create a variety of learning materials for multiple disciplines, audiences, and modalities. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong track record of collaboration and contribute to future curriculum development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create a wide variety of learning materials, ranging from microlearning products to self-paced learning guides to interactive courses. Analyze and evaluate training/knowledge/skill gaps to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions. Design and develop learning products for multiple modalities, including on-line, in-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats. Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. Create and analyze learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities. Adapt and present learning materials for different knowledge levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Administer, schedule, facilitate, record, and/or conduct training sessions. Contribute to and support SDS Operations with knowledge capture systems, technical talent development strategies, and their lifecycles.Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. May be responsible for development of e-learning programs. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:Principal Training Rep: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Sr Principal Training Rep: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. Salary Range 2: $104,400 - $156,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
