Position Description:
This position is ideal for an experienced Scrum Master proficient in the agile SaFe development framework. Candidates who enjoy building relationships with clients and team members, and who are extremely organized will do well in this position. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for technical planning and oversight of self-organizing team(s) to ensure the team is making progress against Program Increment commitments.
Protects the team from scope creep during execution of the PI Removes impediments and evaluates solutions with the Release Train Engineer in implementing solutions.
Provide functional analysis and timeline analysis to ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the Definition of Done and how to meet it
Coordinates with other leads on the Agile Release Train (ART) and communicates status to management Works with the Product Owner(s) to review and prioritize features.
Works with the teams to resolve problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program
Maintains and generates information radiators for the teams Collects and shares team metrics with the team, determines when new metrics are needed, and develops improvements in metrics.
Coaches team members on agile and scrum principles with a goal of continuous improvement
Observes team dynamics, recognizes strengths and weaknesses of individual team member's contributions, and coaches the team as a whole driving improvement in productivity.
Creates a fun sharing and learning environment, experimenting with various ideas to improve delivery including pair-programming and cross-functional training.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
PMI-PMP or PMI-ACP or Scrum Alliance Advanced Certified Scrum Master or Scaled Agile SAFe Advanced Scum Master
At least 10 years of work experience as a project manager or a Team Lead for a software development team or a Scrum Master.
Excellent communication, leadership and coaching skills. Must be able to engage and mentor individuals at varying levels of agile maturity.
Experience in performing the Scrum Master role for at least 5 years on multiple teams in differing environments.
Experience and relatable skills in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Knowledge/experience of techniques and approaches, beyond agile core practices and theory, to address gaps in the agile framework: (i.e. Lack of engagement, poor sizing, missed commitments, etc.)
Experience working with remote/virtual teams in different time zones.
Optional:
Experience with multiple agile approaches: SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
Experience with widely utilized agile techniques: BDD, Continuous Integration, Pairing, Big Room Planning, etc.
Experience with gathering and leveraging metrics: i.e. Burndown, Cycle Time, etc.
Experience with developing Agile EVM
This position is remote and can sit anywhere within the U.S.
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US eligibility.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $134,164 - $148,474.
