Description:

　　Seeking a Scientist I to work closely with the Sr research scientist but will also work independently with lab equipment, performing testing, analysis and troubleshooting. Will participate heavily in the research, formulation and development of titanium dioxide pigment (TiO2) and Titanium chemicals products.

　　The individual should also be able to improve and modify existing test methods that will benefit productivity as well as maintain laboratory equipment and make recommendations to improve laboratory work processes

　　Perform area inspections and keep laboratory chemical inventory current

　　Follow standard operating procedures.

　　Lab maintenance to ensure continued reliability use in development and evaluation efforts

　　Order chemicals and supplies for experiments and to maintain inventory

　　Prepares samples, characterizes products, and formulates into end uses

　　Maintains good records and regularly reports study results

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Material Science, Biochemistry, or Chemical Engineering

　　• Perform lab/pilot plant experiments safely and semi-independently with direction from project scientist

　　• Perform area safety inspections and maintain chemical inventory

　　• Record and analyze data to present in both written and oral form to supervisor

　　• Perform duties according to established standard safety principles and operating procedures

　　• Discuss with scientists next steps in progressing a project.

　　• Maintain good records and provide regular reports of study results.

　　• Troubleshoot and performs minor maintenance on laboratory equipment

　　• Ensure safe and efficient laboratory operations, oversee required calibration, maintain laboratory equipment, and work safely with chemicals
