The School Psychologist provides psychological evaluation servicesincluding, but not limited to, assessments, reports, providing relatededucational recommendations, consultation, therapy, and any otherapplicable educational services for students of the school.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enableindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.Ensures all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) arecompliant; Takes the necessary steps to ensure compliance when necessary;Ensures all existing documents are compliant following the guidelines setforth by the state;Administers academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students permandated time frames;Leads evaluation team report meetings; Participates in the school'sintervention assistance team;Assists the Principal of Special Programs indeveloping/leading/participating in professional development for thegeneral education staff, special education staff, and parents of studentsin special education programs; Works closely with guidance counselors toprovide training in various emotional health areas;Keeps abreast of all changing legislative issues impacting special educationeligibility.Assists with the implementation of school, procedures and projects;Serves on school committees; participates in professional developmentsessions;Assists with national Stride efforts including participation in specialprojects and/or task-forces, developing policies and procedures and training.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Required Qualifications:Master's degree ANDPrevious experience as a school psychologist
Certificates and Licenses: Current state certification/licensure in schoolpsychology
Residency Requirement:Must be a Colorado resident
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to Clear required background checkAbility to travel throughout the state in order to administer assessments,and outside of the state for professional development opportunities
