Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a Scale Clerk at our Detroit, MI operation. Responsible for weighing all inbound and outbound vehicles, inspecting loose loads to direct them to proper unloading areas, and assisting in the details of purchases.

　　Summary of Responsibilities:

　　Accurately inspect all materials ensuring correct weights, materials description, and grade for all inbound and outbound loads

　　Determine the grade of the material and enter it into the inventory system

　　Operates scale computer, applying correct material and inventory codes

　　Prepare proper paperwork for shipments

　　Communicate effectively with transportation, customers, management, and yard employees

　　Report fraudulent activity, and report all accidents and injuries timely

　　Other duties as assigned

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma/GED.

　　Good verbal and written communication skills

　　Basic math, computer, account reconciliation, and data entry skills

　　Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once

　　Ability to complete assignments promptly with attention to detail

　　Work cooperatively with other employees and the public

　　Pre-Employment background required
