Who we are looking for:We are currently looking for a Sawyer I - 3rd Shift to be based out ofPueblo, Colorado. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Sawyer Iwill be responsible for supporting the winder operator, quality,quantity, and accurate finishing of fiberglass conduit in various diameterswhile adhering all personal conduct based on Atkore' ATIRE protocols.By joining Atkore-Pueblo, you can expect competitive pay, shift premiumpay for 2nd and 3rd shift, paid holidays, vacation accrual upon hire, aswell as a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision,life insurance, 401k) after 30 days of continuous employment.What you'll do:Sawyer I's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist the winder operator to maximize winding equipment up timeReceives product from the extractor, cut ends per specificationsPrepare pipe samples for quality control testingPerform Final Inspection both dimensional and visual per standardsKeep accurate production and quality records including crating and labelingMaintain roving rack for continual winding operationAssist with changeovers with some assistanceAffix tri-seals and retainer ringsGrind ends for spigots inspecting each piece with go/no go gaugesMaintain housekeeping in assigned areaPerform any other tasks appointed by the managementWhat you'll bring:Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalentTwo year's previous shop experience is preferredExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood understanding of math skills required for quick and accurate counting,calculations and measurements including radius, inside and outsidediameter, and lengthAttention to detail, accuracy, time management and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable withmultiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays,or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedAble to be medically cleared to wear respirator and other PPE required for thejobWithin 3 months, you'll:Know and follow plant safety rules and wear proper PPEComplete any required trainingHave developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your roleto daily operations.Who we are:Atkore is a four-time Great Place to Work certified company and a two-time TopWorkplaces USA award winner!
