　　18 month FTC

　　This role is within the News UK Finance team. It is a hybrid working model however there will need to be travel to both the London Head Office and our Peterborough Office. Interaction will also be with people in other Finance teams across the globe, including Dow Jones and News Australia.

　　Your role:

　　This role is a once in a career opportunity to play a role on a transformational Finance Systems project .News UK is in the process of investing in and transforming our Finance Systems landscape. We will not only be moving our core ERP system to S/4 HANA, but also implementing new additional systems including those for Procurement, Contingent Workforce and various other activities.

　　As Test analyst , your role will be to support the Test Lead and broader test team in running the programme’s test management function. This role will be the programme’s hub for defining, managing and delivering the testing on behalf of News UK, and critically taking News UK colleagues on this important journey.

　　Day to day you will:

　　Support the test lead to develop test plans (primarily for user acceptance testing), test management (coordination & reporting for all test phases)

　　Develop guidance for business testers and leads, considering team and business unit requirements including facilitating briefings with the business

　　Close collaboration with the system implementation partner to plan and undertake unit testing, functional unit testing (FUT) and system integration testing (SIT)

　　Work with the technology teams to define, plan and undertake regression testing and operational acceptance testing

　　Manage the creation of UAT test scenarios

　　Oversee and manage UAT closure

　　Oversee and manage defect and test closure

　　Finalise industrialised test approach (test scripts, regression, test scripts, tooling sets, etc.)

　　Implement test management procedures

　　Support the test lead with planning and undertaking other test phases such as operational acceptance testing, non-functional testing etc

　　All colleagues will have to work together as a team, supported by leadership, to deliver this programme. This also means there may be times when everyone has to support other workstreams at peak load times.

　　What we’re looking for from you:

　　We’re looking for an experienced Test analyst, with a track record of delivering this capability within a large scale and complex programme, including:

　　Test Analyst experience

　　Experience delivering testing in a fit-to-standard programme, SAP S/4 HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass or similar products

　　Be extremely proactive and be prepared to ‘lean into’ challenges and challenging situations when they arise

　　Have experience of test management and programme methodologies (waterfall and agile)

　　Experience in leading business stakeholders through complex user acceptance cycles

　　Have deep experience of all test phases typically found on a technology enabled programme (operational acceptance testing, systems integration testing, Functional unit testing, regression testing)

　　Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and the programme team

　　A proactivity to be curious; pre-empt issues, challenge, ask the right questions and propose solutions rather than wait for questions

　　Be able to cut through complexity and get to the ‘so what?’, enabling effective communication to senior leadership and providing clear, polished, and concise outputs

　　Willingness to go above and beyond to support the business, building your knowledge and your network to enable this

　　Calmness under pressure and an expert ability in problem solving under ambiguity

　　Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with effective time management and prioritisation
