  Securian Financial Group internal position title isEngineering Consultant. Position Summary: Be part of an exciting, growing platform at Securian Financial as we expand our Salesforce footprint. We currently have an opening for an experienced and certified Salesforce Architect to provide technical leadership on our Salesforce Platform team. Securian leverages the Salesforce platform for Sales, Service, Enterprise Contact Center and Marketing, using respective clouds and will be driving towards Financial Services Cloud over the next few years. Responsibilities: Identify, design, and lead implementation of solutions leveraging Salesforce in support of the Sales and Service functions in a complex, high data volume, and heavily integrated Salesforce org. Mentorship and support of Salesforce engineers, from technical leads to junior associates. Develop data integrations with internal systems and third-party applications in alignment with our Enterprise Data Strategy Identify, recommend and implement operational best practices including code reviews, automated testing, and DevOps Identify and recommend core platform and process improvements to internal Salesforce leadership and Salesforce teams Act as a trusted Salesforce technical advisor to the business, Enterprise Architecture, and ET leadership, providing recommendations on strategic direction of the Salesforce platform at Securian Help to grow and improve cross-functional teams, including other Salesforce Developers, Salesforce Admins and Quality Assurance team members Partner with cross-functional Salesforce development teams, Salesforce leadership, and Enterprise Architecture, and Enterprise Technology teams across the enterprise to design and lead implementation of scalable, maintainable, efficient, and effective solutions in Salesforce. Drive adoption of reusable architectural patterns, solution and development standards, and engineering excellence across multiple cross-functional Salesforce teams. Requirements: 6+ years of development and/or architect experience in Salesforce Experience with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices and tooling Passion for learning the Salesforce platform and technologies and an ability to create a contagious culture of learning. Invested in helping teammates and in being a collaborative team player Experience architecting Salesforce solutions with various integration patterns, or at minimum have a strong understanding of Salesforce integration patterns. Ability to break down complex problems through critical thinking, identify trade-offs, document solutions, and clearly communicate justification and reasoning for design decisions to empower Salesforce engineers and administrators to implement solutions effectively. Strong understanding of the Salesforce Well-Architected framework, with an ability to effectively leverage and integrate the framework into design and development practices. Excellent ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical audiences, including Salesforce engineers, non-Salesforce engineers, product owners, ET leadership, and business leadership Platform Developer 1 and 2 and either Salesforce Certified Administrator or Platform App Builder certifications candidate to have two of these three certs at bare minimum. Desired Qualifications: Experience with hands-on Salesforce declarative and programmatic development - including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Flow Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, or B2B/B2C Solution Architect certifications Experience implementing DevOps for Salesforce Financial Services industry experience Securian Financial believes in hybrid work as an integral part of our culture.Associates get the benefit of working both virtually and in our offices.
