PRIMARY JOB PURPOSE
The job description of a Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) professional typically involves ensuring the quality and reliability of Salesforce applications and solutions. Salesforce QA specialists play a crucial role in the software development life cycle by identifying and addressing issues, testing functionalities, and ensuring that the Salesforce platform meets the specified requirements.
Also, this job requires the person to drive and lead the CR and support deliverables of a lean Salesforce team from offshore.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirement Analysis:
Review and analyse project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to understand the scope of testing.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of Salesforce solutions.
Test Planning:
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
Define testing strategies, including regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Test Execution:
Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools for Salesforce applications.
Validate data integrity, security, and functionality within the Salesforce platform.
Perform end-to-end testing of Salesforce configurations, customizations, and integrations.
Delivery:
Act as a SPOC to lead the CR and support deliverables for the Salesforce team.
Be an escalation PIC for the support region liaising with Solution Architect and other stakeholders.
Defect Identification and Management:
Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Automation Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Salesforce-specific automation tools.
Implement and enhance test automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
Regression Testing:
Conduct regular regression testing to ensure that new developments and enhancements do not negatively impact existing functionalities.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and administrators, to ensure a seamless development and testing process.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test scenarios, and testing processes.
Generate test reports and provide status updates to project stakeholders.
SELECTION CRITERIA
10+ years’ experience in testing on Salesforce platform and have experience in leading a lean team.
Experience in Salesforce applications. Experience on other CRM platforms like Dynamics are preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field is desirable.
Self-driven, motivated, leads and supports a team environment with attention to detail, a drive for accuracy and a strong work ethic.
Excellent planning and experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology experience,
Strong business/relevant industry acumen with the ability to build strong customer relationships, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
Someone who can build service delivery capabilities.
