Any information not provided by Van Meter is inaccurate Summary: The Sales Support Intern will focus on projects related to the corporate operations of our business. Those areas include but aren't limited to customer pricing strategy, vendor cost analysis, sales and inventory performance trending, product launches or additions, and vendor data integration. The Sales Support Intern would work closely with members within the Pricing, Data, Purchasing, Inventory, and Commodity teams on department initiatives and improvement opportunities. Additional administrative department work and experience will be necessary to give this position a good feel for the internal operations of distribution. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Review operational metrics to analyze performance, trends, and impact of product lines to find improvement opportunities. Work with team members to help implement key initiatives. Assist in daily pricing, purchasing, and inventory activities. Analyze product line data integrity to help close gaps and improve overall completeness of the information. Assist in the coordination of product launches, inventory additions, or conversions.
