  Musco Sports Lighting is actively seeking a Sales Representative based in Puerto Rico to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will collaborate with a global team of experts to strategize, implement, and maintain cost-effective, seamless lighting solutions for our clients in the region. Operating within a team-oriented environment, we leverage a robust customer management system to monitor project progress. The successful candidate will take ownership of their territory, displaying daily discipline to navigate through the extensive sales process and concurrently develop a growth strategy for the region. Travel is a requirement, and applicants must possess the legal right to work in Puerto Rico.

  About Musco Lighting: Since its inception in 1976, Musco Lighting has been a pioneer in designing and manufacturing innovative sports and transportation/infrastructure lighting solutions. Our Total Light Control – TLC for LED™ technology stands as the industry's preferred choice for new and retrofit installations, spanning from hometown fields and professional stadiums to international superspeedways, Olympic Games, and major ports, airports, and railyards worldwide. Musco sold its first project in Puerto Rico in 1992, and today has sold 142 different lighting systems on the island. Notable projects include Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Estadio Centroamericano in Mayagüez, and Rubén Rodríguez Coliseum in Bayamón.

  Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  As a vital member of Musco Lighting's Sales team, your role will be instrumental in expanding our market presence. Key responsibilities include:

  Cultivating strong relationships with key contractors, municipalities, specifiers, and end-users in the sports and infrastructure marketplace.

  Assessing customers' lighting needs and recommending Musco products and services accordingly.

  Effectively presenting Musco's products and services through various channels, including sales presentations, meetings, field visits, and trade shows.

  Preparing budget estimates for customers' lighting requirements using pricing tools.

  Identifying and engaging with key decision-makers to enhance Musco’s position on projects.

  Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze projects from sales, business, and engineering perspectives.

  Negotiating prices and agreements, encompassing credit terms and collection.

  Participating in field work, including measuring/assessing fields, confirming pole locations, assisting with installations, night light tests, troubleshooting, and warranty inspections.

  Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project information and documentation in the sales database.

  Regularly communicating with the International Sales Coordinator to address territory needs and concerns, effectively allocating resources.

  Participating in corporate meetings and conference calls as necessary.

  Conducting new business development calls to both new and existing customers.

  Job Specifications:

  Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken, written, and reading proficiency is required).

  Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

  Strong communication skills.

  Good technical aptitude.

  Self-motivated, assertive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.

  Team player with excellent collaboration skills.

  Other Special Requirements:

  Vehicle and air travel are required.

  Multiple overnight hotel stays may be necessary.

  Frequent night work and some weekend work are expected.
