Job Description
The Sales Planner is primarily responsible for the development of strategic sales proposals that meet both the advertiser and network’s needs for the Sports Group.
Duties and Responsibilities
Proposal Creation:
Liaison with partners to ensure that all contractual obligations are met
Coordinate with CFS group to establish credit clearance process and non-media billing procedures when applicable
Lead in the creation of proposals for incoming RFPs by creating media plans to meet advertiser and category objectives
Address client needs while highlighting our value and capabilities
Build media plans and schedule units based on inventory avails
Prepare and revise Upfront and Scatter sales plans that maximize the use of inventory while fulfilling agency/client requirements
Collaborate and brainstorm with the team in the creation of proactive and strategic proposals
Ensure media plans include accurate pricing and utilize approved products and available inventory and adhere to defined business processes to ensure optimal program performance
Complete additional projects as directed by Strategic Planning and Ad Sales Finance Management
Assist in the coordination of sales marketing materials
Proposal Maintenance:
Work closely with Sales, Strategic Planning, and Commercial Ops to manage all preemptions and programming changes - recommend schedules according to availability, generate flow charts to reflect all changes, cancellation option and expansion options
Work closely with Inventory Managers to coordinate plan approvals
Client Service:
Develop strong understanding of our products and solutions for advertisers
Assist in the creation of effective go-to-market tools for the sales team
Establish relationships with agency and advertiser partners
Respond to Sales requests about inventory, ad products, creative specifications, and research
Liaise with Sales, Strategic Planning, Ad Sales Finance, Commercial Ops, and Marketing to ensure sold schedules run
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1+ year of experience in media planning or client service role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel

A strong ability to perform independently and proactively while working in a team environment
High energy and teamwork mentality a must
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $62,000-$70,000 (bonus eligible)
