The Cranial Spine business develops life-restoring technologies and solutions to treat diseases in the areas of Neurosciences, Neurosurgery and Spine. Our therapies span the care continuum; from early interventional procedures to implantable surgical.
This position will work in tandem with the cranial and spinal Territory manager and will have territory pan-district coverage responsibility and sales responsibility. Allocation guideline for core responsibilities include: Inventory Management, Case Coverage, and Selling (inside the operating room).
A Day in the Life
This position will be responsible for:
• Case coverage in ‘Top’ and ‘Develop’ Spine accounts, the upselling within the theatre environment, ordering and inventory management, soliciting orders, supporting sales of Medtronic Spinal products assigned and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned as well as for maintaining an awareness of local competitive conditions.
• Upselling of Energy and Power tools in the theatre environment.
• Territory case coverage and support of intraoperative sales.
• Asset management of the territory.
• Troubleshooting support to field sales force and customers on request.
• Preparation of study material, plans, organizes and conducts training to customers (physicians, technicians and nurses) in collaboration with the District Sales force/network team.
• Support of marketing and sales in the introduction and market release of new products and therapies.
Must Haves
• Degree in Engineering, Life-science, Marketing, Business Administration or Biology or another relevant, advanced degree
• Experience in the medical (device) industry or in a hospital operation room environment
• Proven ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales force, physicians, nurses and hospital technicians in an operating room setting
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of good judgment
• Travel is required, must have a valid driver’s license
