JOB TITLE: Sales and Bid Manager
LOCATION: DC office is listed in the job description, however, we will entertain a local candidate that will sit at the Elmira, NY plant
WORK SCHEDULE: typical 8 to 5 but can be flexible, will be determined by hiring manager
OVERVIEW:
Conduct visits and follow-ups with predominantly public clients and operators within the USA and Canada, overseeing the entire process from preparation to delivery and negotiation of proposals for rolling stock and projects involving public-private participation (PPP). Collaborate closely with the parent company, Company in Spain, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of strategies.
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:
Desired prior experience with rolling stock builders located in the USA, particularly those involved in PPP projects.
Proven sales or commercial experience in handling products with technical complexity.
Strong relational, multidisciplinary, and multi-geographic teamwork skills.
Past experience in a leadership role as a business unit or subsidiary responsible.
TRAINING/EDUCATION REQUIRED:
MBA from an accredited university in relevant engineering field
Senior, minimum 15-20 years in the railway sector as Sales/Proposal Manager
Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish

Will be sited in Company's Washington DC Office and will need to be available to travel to Company Headquarters and along the U.S. for the possible projects/tenders.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Shall report all injuries/illnesses to their supervisor that occur at work, the day of the incident
Shall report any unsafe conditions that are identified in their respective work area to their supervisor
Shall comply with all Company safety policies, procedures, and requirements that are communicated to them, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures
Shall wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is communicated and supplied to them
Shall keep their respective work area clean and orderly at all times
Shall attend all Company required training as soon as possible before the start of their assigned work
Shall NOT operate any Company equipment (forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts) until certified to do so
