DescriptionThe Global Polymer Group, a growing and dynamic multi-platform media brand owned by Crain Communication Inc., is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can multi-task, and is a critical thinker.This role is responsible for generating revenue from an array of media products including print and online advertising, event sponsorships and lead generation. We are seeking a dynamic sales personality who is motivated to grow an existing territory as well as develop new sales to build on the publication's success. We are looking for a road warrior. This role will require 25-40% travel including industry events.Basic Qualifications5+ years of successful solutions-based sales experience within a multi-platform / integrated media sales environmentProven ability to prospect and develop new business as well as manage and grow existing accounts.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding presentation and listening skills.Working familiarity with value-based and consultative selling techniques including event sponsorships and exhibition space sales.Solid knowledge and experience using research tools.Experience identifying, cultivating, and converting prospects into clients.Confident networker who showcases their passion and enthusiasm for the Global Polymer Brand.Desire to grow within the organization.ResponsibilitiesAchieve sales goals by prospecting new business and developing existing accounts to grow our overall brand.Anticipate customers' needs, find effective solutions, and solve customer's problems.Keep accurate and precise records of client communication and opportunities through utilization of Salesforce.Maintain a full pipeline of prospects, potential customersTravel to client offices, tradeshows, industry events, etc. to meet and consult with clients to better understand their needs.Further your client relationships through retention and upsellingPreferencesB2B media advertising sales experience with proven sales track recordBachelor's Degree or equivalent preferredFamiliar with prospecting and where/how to look for leads.Ability to build and foster relationships.Excellent written and verbal communicationCollaborative spirit that is displayed through inter-departmental work and communication.Organized, detail-oriented multi-tasker who thrives in fast-paced environment and has the ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as with a team to service a variety of clients.Self-motivated and resilientThis position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.Pay Transparency Disclosure:The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000, in addition to being eligible for a sales commission plan.The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap.
