About Safety & Compliance Coordinator

  Louisville, KY, USA | Salary | Field Services - Louisville | Full Time

  Primary Purpose

  Provide overall compliance, and health & safety in field services projects in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers.

  Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  Audits various work sites to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental requirements and government regulations; recommends and monitors corrective actions.

  Provides technical assistance to assist Company managers in controlling losses from injuries, liabilities and property losses; develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new standards and safety practices.

  Develops and conducts safety and health training programs.

  Coordinates accident investigations ;assists when appropriate ; ensures completion of necessary paperwork.

  Coordinates medical, workman's compensation and insurance programs to control costs; serves as liaison between insured and insurance carrier when appropriate.

  Represents the Company with OSHA, the EPA, the DOT, and any other regulatory officials regarding permitting, violations, inspections as requested.

  Assists with obtaining quality safety equipment and when applying for required safety permits.

  Assists in the development of corporate safety budget and monitors budget for assigned areas to ensure adherence.

  This position resides in Louisville, KY. with travel up to 30% of the time to Charlotte, NC. and Atlanta, GA.

  Education: Four year college degree required; science or safety-related major preferred.

  Experience: Minimum 3 years experience working in health and safety related programs is required.

  Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.Thorough knowledge and understanding of all federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services and safety industry. Good organizational skills. Interpersonal skills are essential. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

  A post offer drug screen will be required.
