Job Opening is for a Second ShiftPosition. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma orGED required. 1 year experience of sheetmetal and/or fabricationexperience. Position Purpose: The Sheetmetal Technician I worksindependently or with moderate supervision to fabricate and installcomplex interior subassemblies in aircraft. Job Description PrincipleDuties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Communicate asrequired. to receive and understand work assignments. Perform taskscompletely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Ensure that workaccomplished meets FAA requirements, customer specifications, andGulfstream standard of quality. . Ask questions as needed to understandprocesses and responsibilities. Keep Leads informed of progress,problems, and job status. Properly identify (tag) and store customerproperty and equipment. Assist with disassembly and reassembly ofaircraft interiors. Sign off drawings and Work Order items. Coordinatewith the Inspection department to ensure conformity with drawings andcompliance with approved Gulfstream repair station procedures. Adapt tosudden changes while maintaining productivity and standards of quality.Use the resource planning system to produce picklists and enter dailylabor against correct Work Order and item numbers. Effectively usetechnical reference materials. Learn how to find information. AdditionalFunctions: Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. YIAW,Kaizen events, etc.) . Keep shop and aircraft work areas clean anduncluttered. . Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and toolsas assigned by Supervisor. . Comply with safety rules and procedures. .Perform other duties as assigned. Other Requirements: Basic knowledge ofsheetmetal or fabrication processes (cutting, bending, forming,drilling) is required.
