Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Obstetric, L&D, antepartum, triage, postpartum MgSo4, Pregnancy; Gestational hypertension, Gestational diabetes
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Pitocin, mag
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse
Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? Duties?: 1 OB scrub tech scheduled at a time
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 7a-7p, 7p-7a // Team scheduling, will work with block scheduling
Weekend Requirements: Every third
Holiday Requirements: As needed
Floating Requirements: Postpartum; other med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Psych units as 1:1 sitter or helping hands
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
