　　Shift: 48 hours every two weeks

　　Scheduled between 11am Friday and 7am Monday, per policy

　　Orientation may require full time work for a concentrated period of time

　　THE UNIT: Our Clinical Decision Unit at AGH is all private rooms

　　The majority of our patients are chest pain, TIA, and trauma

　　90% of our patients come from the emergency department.

　　Take direct admits that come from other emergency departments or observation units.

　　Conduct extended recovery primarily for the cancer center and transplant.

　　We frequently care for cardiac recovery patients from the Cath Lab and people that get newly placed pacers.

　　We require all of our nurses to go through a trauma nurse course, stroke accreditation courses, and a critical care course.

　　State of the art Cancer Center

　　550+ Beds

　　GENERAL OVERVIEW:

　　Responsible and accountable for a designated patient population for the purpose of providing care based upon enactment of the nursing process.

　　Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.

　　Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.

　　Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.

　　Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.

　　Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture and willingness to learn.

　　Requirements:

　　Current RN PA license in good standing

　　One (1) year general nursing experience required

　　One (1) year on specific unit preferred
