Gilbane is seeking a Risk Manager II to provide day to day support for Gilbane business units, including the assessment of risk on projects, procurement of insurance products and ongoing administration of insurance products. Manage business unit relations across all functions within operations (leadership, business development, purchasing, project teams).   Responsibilities

  Understanding of insurance markets (coverages, trends, pricing)Familiarity with CCIPs, OCIPs, SDI, Builders Risk benefits, placements, coverage, contract entitlement, and implementationAbility to perform contract reviews and communicate / negotiate terms with business units and clientsStrong written, verbal, interpersonal capabilitiesAbility to work in a high demand, rapid paced environment, managing several open items concurrently and reprioritizing based on business unit needsAdvising on insurable and uninsurable risks to project teams and business unit leadersAbility to evaluate prequalification of high-risk subcontractors and create appropriate risk mitigation plansAbility to create and deliver training on insurance coverage and processAbility to function as an integral part of a team, highly collaborative Ability to coordinate and manage efforts involving individuals from different geographic areas as well as external partnersStrong financial / analytical skillsAbility to understand issues quickly and follow through to resolutionExcellent customer service skillsStrong problem solving, planning, and organizational skills-including multi-taskingProficient in MS Outlook, MS Office, Excel and other critical RMIS software is essentialWorks independently, requires moderate supervisionAble to handle complex issues with supervisionInteracts well with and can influence senior level BU management (PX/PM) 

  Qualifications

  EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor's degree5-10 years of experience in the construction or risk management industriesOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESFamiliarity with insurance market (coverages, trends, pricing)Strong written, verbal, interpersonal capabilitiesAbility to function as an integral part of a team, highly collaborativeAbility to coordinate and manage efforts involving individuals from different geographic areas as well as external partnersStrong financial / analytical skillsAbility to understand issues quickly and follow through to resolutionExcellent customer service skillsStrong problem solving, planning, and organizational skills-including multi-taskingProficient in MS Outlook, MS Office, Excel and other critical RMIS software is essentialWorks independently, requires moderate supervisionAble to handle complex issues with supervisionInteracts well with and can influence senior level BU management (PX/PM)Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.For Providence, RI and Englewood, CO this ranges from $78,200.00-$107,600.00 plus benefits and retirement program.For Boston, MA this ranges from $82,000.00-$112,800.00 plus benefits and retirement program.For New York City, NY this ranges from $95,400.00-$131,200.00 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
