As Collateral Policy Manager, you will support implementation of policy and product offerings, which includes gaining approval from numerous key business clients. You will support clear, concise communication of any changes as well monitor all related parameters and policies in all reference materials. In addition, you as Collateral Policy Manager may regularly interact with external investor/insurer representatives.
Job responsibilities:
Representing Credit Risk in various capacities with all business partners while ensuring core Risk principles are clearly conveyed and enforced
Reviewing insurer guidelines and collateral/appraisal and insurance policy related terms
Researching, developing and implementing collateral/appraisal and insurance policy
Utilizing adept risk analysis to research, develop and recommend policy actions that may act as overlays to insurer guidance
Coordinating changes to policy and products as required by the agencies (as part of Policy team);
Supporting detailed drafting, editing and communication needs for Collateral policy
Monitoring trends of both Performance and Quality Review/Audit findings to allow for development of actions that proactively mitigate risk
Lead Condo Review Board that reviews non-warrantable condo projects for eligibility
Managing and organizing materials for Risk Committee meetings
Interfacing with outside vendors and partners as appropriate.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Minimum of 7 years of current and relevant mortgage lending experience, Focus in policy preferred.
Subject matter expert for collateral, appraisal and insurance related guidelines.
Subject matter expert for current Chase product offerings.
Knowledge of Agency, FHA and VA requirements
Working knowledge and experience with automated underwriting systems (e.g. FHA TOTAL Scorecard, DU, LP, etc).
Strong oral, written, and presentation skills required; must be able to communicate with impact and build rapport with diverse audiences and levels of management.
Ability to think through situations to reach timely, high quality and actionable decisions.
Ability to successfully manage or participate in projects to completion with minimal supervision.
PC skills essential (Outlook, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Internal (Chase) candidate, full time, onsite Credit Risk location in Jersey City, Jacksonville or Tempe.
General Real Estate Appraiser or Certified Review Appraiser
