We have an excellent opportunity for the Rework Operator to join our team based in Dublin 15 on our Evening Shift, Monday to Thursday 3.15pm to 11.15pm and Friday 2.15pm to 9.15pm.
Position Summary:
Rework Operator physically replaces identified server components and completes transactions through I-Factory.
Key Responsibilities and End Results:
Perform 1st fix on all minor defects from Production Line. Aim is always to minimize disruption to line throughput.
Rework of visible defects from servers returned through IRMA process.
Rework debugged servers on debug technician’s instructions.
Highly involved with component investigations and MRB returns.
Work with Debug team to dismantle obsolete servers and help with controlled return of parts retrieved.
Be involved with Kaizen events and other process improvements.
Perform basic fixes of failed test servers (clean and reseat dims, CPU’s) for 1st and 2nd Wait for Post fails (reseats)
Ensure IFactory is kept accurate and up to date in all reported situations.
Good knowledge of all server workstations and products.
Work effectively with server assembly, debug, and quality teams.
Pull necessary material from Inventory Control team to allow reworks to be carried out.
Visually inspects parts for proper insertion and placement.
Utilizes bar code scanners and small hand tools.
Works under direct, close supervision of the Debug Team Lead, or other management as assigned.
Conduct physical inventory in the designated area.
Actively participates in team activities/projects, communicates effectively to team, attends team meetings, and displays a high level of teamwork.
Maintaining 5S order and cleanliness at all times.
Assist new product introduction to the server lines as required.
Work with Group Leaders to ensure all documentation is current and correct.
Ensure quality (work meets or exceed Jabil workmanship Standards) and improve efficiency using the JOS system.
Fill out daily logs and other paperwork as required.
Ensure assemblies are properly handled and marked.
Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your manager
Skills/Attributes:
Good knowledge of iFactory and production process
Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
Good planning & organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
Proven ability to meet deadlines.
A “can do” work ethic with excellent problem-solving skills
Minimum requirements:
Minimum Leaving Certificate required or equivalent. May substitute experience in lieu of educational requirements.
Minimum Operator II level with a minimum of 6 station certifications in Server area.
Desired criteria
Certificate in Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Engineering / Electronical / Electronics / Mechatronics /Computer Science
Experience in electronic manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Experience in process improvements / lean manufacturing activities in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
