Review Attorneys supplement core legal teams with licensed attorneys trained in document review procedures and have expertise in many document review platforms and litigation support technologies. Review Attorneys' report to the ESS Discovery Services Manager. The project-specific direction will come from Counsel, Senior Discovery Attorneys, the ESS Project Management team, and one or more attorneys on the core case team.POSITIONAn ESS Review Attorney is a fully remote, temporary, project-based position. There is no guarantee of any number of hours per week. After the project is completed, the attorney will remain in our attorney pool to be staffed on other projects. The position pays $30-$32 an hour based on geographic area. (See below for listing). This position may be eligible for benefits (401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick and safe time, and family care benefits) after 60 days assuming the individual maintains 75 hours of work each month.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThese essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation.Perform document review for relevance, privilege, and issue coding.On occasion, may be asked to perform quality control of third-party document review work.Perform redactions.Be present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the job position, consistent with the firm's attendance expectations.SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREDStrong knowledge of the principles of software-discovery technology, such as Relativity, DISCO, Case Notebook, and Everchron.Familiarity with the litigation process, including all phases of discovery and trial.Superb attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Fluent in standard MS Office applications and ability to quickly master new litigation software.
