　　Starr Regional Medical Center is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Respiratory Therapist. This job is permanent, full time.

　　Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.Assist individuals in the safe use of exercise equipment.Gives instruction on the specific disease states is also included to aide the individual in coping and managing their disease to the highest degree.Education of individuals with various pulmonary diseases.Report patient problems/complications to the Cardiac Rehab Supervisor.Maintaining confidential medical records, writing patient notes for care delivered, and patient response to treatment.Adheres to established hospital and departmental guidelines and protocols. Supports hospital mission, vision, and values.Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation. Demonstrates good skills in all forms of communication.Maintains education/development/licensure appropriate to perform the duties necessary to meet patient care needs.Minimum EducationAssociate’s degree in discipline or equivalent, or completion of a Respiratory Therapy Certification Program:□ Preferred X RequiredDrag Edit Delete
