Job Overview
The Respiratory Therapist (RT) provides family-centered care asdemonstrated byrecognizing the patient, family and/or designee as a fullpartner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect forpatient's preferences, values, and needs. Qualifications
Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy/ Care is required atthe time of hire. Bachelor's degree in preferred.Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience delivering respiratorytherapy/careCertification(s):Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NationalBoard of Respiratory Care (NBRC)Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American HeartAssociationPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 90 days of hireAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers from theAmerican Heart Association required within 90 days of hire if working inMedical/Surgical and/or Emergency DepartmentAchievement and maintenance of a National Board for Respiratory Care(NBRC) credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Respiratory Care Specialist(RRT-NPS) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) ifworking in an Ambulatory setting preferred.Licensure(s): State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies(DORA) Respiratory Therapist license
