Job Summary:
The Women's Behavioral Health and Wellness Service Line in the Department of Psychiatry (DOP) has an opening for a full-time open rank (Instructor/Senior Instructor) Resource and Referral Specialist and Care Coordinator to support the development of a state-wide perinatal psychiatry consultation and access program in Colorado. PROSPER ( P erinatal R esource to Support O bstetric S creening, P sychiatric Education, E quity and R eferral) will expand the capacity of front-line healthcare providers to implement universal screening, assessment and treatment of perinatal mental health and substance use conditions within routine obstetric care. The Resource and Referral specialist will be the first point of contact for health care providers calling the consultation line. They will provide a brief assessment and, based on need, provide linkage to a consultation with a WBHW psychiatric provider and/or community-based treatment and recovery support services. Additional duties include development and maintenance of a state-wide referral database, providing follow up with providers and patients after initial consultation, recruitment and enrollment of healthcare practices providing obstetric care across Colorado, and clinical data collection and coordination for the project.
This position will sit within the care coordination team of the WBHW service line and may include a smaller role providing care coordination and counselling services within the WBHW outpatient practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides initial assessment of needs to providers of perinatal people.
Provides resources and referrals to providers.
Documents consultation encounters in a timely manner and in compliance with project requirements.
Maintains care coordination data to support program operations and reporting.
Maintains a good working relationship and ongoing communication with referral sources.
Promotes a positive working environment and customer relations.
Coordinates enrollment meetings with healthcare practice
Promotes educational events to healthcare practices and providers
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of # days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

The WBHW clinical team provides patient-centered and evidence-based care aimed to promote wellness in women across the lifespan. Our dynamic interdisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers work collaboratively with primary care providers and specialists to provide consultative services and problem-focused care for women with behavioral health concerns related to periods of reproductive transition or medical conditions or treatment impacting reproductive hormones and well-being. We aim to maintain and expand access to care by implementing innovative models of clinical care, providing interdisciplinary clinical training, and deepening collaborative community and public partnerships.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Instructor:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, or Related Field. License-eligible mental health providers are encouraged to apply.
1-3 clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience working in perinatal mental health clinical work, public health, early childhood and/or related fields.
Senior Instructor:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, or Related Field. License-eligible mental health providers are encouraged to apply.
1-3 clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience working in perinatal mental health clinical work, public health, early childhood and/or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, or Related Field.
Spanish language proficiency
Experience with REDCap or other data management program.
Experience with and/or training in perinatal and infant mental health
Experience with and/or training in substance use disorder treatment
Experience with crisis management or triage
Experience with program development, evaluation, and/or process improvement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of mental health issues and disorders, specifically perinatal mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders.
Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions, and awareness of resources in Colorado communities
Must have ability to engage with health care providers, office managers, psychiatric providers.
Must have ability to engage in phone calls or email with patients with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
Must be comfortable with case management and coordination of care.
Must be able to triage effectively based on expressed acuity by the health care provider about the consultation.
Must be efficient with time management and attention to detail
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Must be comfortable working with diverse patient population, providers and staff
Must be able to comply with established rules, policies and procedures and meet deadlines.
Self-directed and flexible, ability to use independent judgement.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
General knowledge of health care systems, payors and care navigation.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Instructor: $58,000 – $80,000
Senior Instructor: $58,000 – $80,000
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
