The candidate must be able to understand and address well-defined hypotheses with appropriately designed experimental plans. Desirable skills include RNA/DNA isolation, PCR amplification, Western blot, Elisa assay, PCR genotyping, Real-time PCR, and Immunohistology. A desire to learn and to be trained is a plus. Job Duties/Responsibilities: * Experimental implementation and data collection, and analysis (40%) * Manage animal (mouse/rat) colonies (35%) * Manage and purchase lab supply (10%) * Supervise as needed new graduate/undergraduate trainees on related projects (15%) Qualifications All required qualifications must be documented on application materials Required Qualifications: * BS/BA or a combination of education and work experience to equal 4 years. Preferred Qualifications: * Significant experience in molecular biology techniques. * Highly self-motivated researcher. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. * Desire and ability to work collaboratively with others. * Experience working with animal tissues. * Experience in managing animal colonies. * Basic experience with statistical analysis.
