Job Summary
The Research Technician will be tasked with broadly supporting thelaboratory through close collaboration with the PI, postdoctoralfellows, graduate student(s) and laboratory manager within the Sectionof Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine.
Responsibilities
Work with prostate cancer cell lines and animal models and, underthe supervision of PI or postdoctoral fellow, will carry out variousin vitro and in vivo experiments.Collect and process patient derived material for downstreamanalysis.Cell culture and in vitro experiments including, but not limited to,Western immunoblot, RNA isolation and qRT-PCR, cell linetransfection and infection, proliferation assays.Work with others in the lab on in vivo tumor progression studies.Collect and process patient blood or tissues and extracting cancercells for analysis.Maintains technical and administrative support for a researchproject.Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literaturereviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and otherdocuments.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
