Our world-renowned heart study, in partnership with Boston University,is looking for a Research Specialist (RS) to join our team and activelyparticipate in the evaluation of our volunteer participants who range inage from 40 to over 100 years old. This is an onsite position in Framingham, MA.Duties/Responsibilities: Our highest priority is to engage with ourvolunteer participants and make them feel welcome and appreciated whilecollecting data in accordance with the study protocol. You will performECG testing, take body measurements, administer questionnaires, andconduct cognitive testing. No experience is necessary; we will trainyou. If interested, we can also teach you how to draw blood. MedicalAssistant experience is a plus. Your ability to proactively anticipate,identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise is key to beinga successful RS. You will also provide some administrative support tothe team, to ensure quality and consistency of exam operations. Veryoccasional travel to participants homes to conduct offsite examinationsis required. After 1 year in this position, the successful ResearchSpecialist should be able to assist the Manager with other duties, suchas directing flow of participants through the exam, managing supplyordering, and running the daily operations of the Exam Center whenManager is away. Medical Assistant experience a plus ?Fluency in Spanish is a plus Physical Requirements: ? Ability tostand/walk for much of the day ? Must be able to lift and carry medicalequipment weighing roughly 15 pounds ? Reliable transportation isnecessary to conduct offsite visits (required \<5% of time) ? OccasionalSaturdays in Spring and Fall
