A Place to Be Proud.ResponsibilitiesIn coordination with RBC Manager, the Lead RBC will perform the following:Monitors upcoming proposal and post award workload for for assigned RBC pod in order to plan and prepare for proposal and post award deadlines. Assist with team metrics and workload distributionMonitors, reviews and evaluates proposal processes of the team; assists management with assessing need, planning for improvement and facilitating implementationMaintain a current understanding of funding sponsors, their guidelines, and their priorities and informs team of sponsor and system updates.Assist RBC and Sr. RBC with troubleshooting of complex issues related to proposal preparation, project budget and other proposal components for proposal submission, award reconciliation, expense approvals and allocations, and overall fiscal compliance.Perform quality control for funding proposals, analyze results and implement new policy and procedures to ensure RBC follow defined processes for proposal creation. Produces proposal and post award metrics and reports for leadership.Maintains a high level of professional knowledge through self-study, research, participation in professional development, and attendance at webinars and conferences.Disseminates information on changes with NIH and other sponsors guidelines, forms, requirements, regulations, etc., and provides formal and informal training for faculty and staff.Develop, monitor and review training and onboarding plan for new staffProvide continuing education for staff. When needed, provides coverage for vacancies and leaves of absence, including all primary RBC responsibilities.Works closely with the RBC Manager, Sponsored Projects Leads, Director of OSP, and Grant Accountants to monitor activity and resolve issues with the RBC pods.QualificationsEducation Requirement: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Licensure Requirement: n/aCertifications: n/aExperience: 10+ in accountingThe above list of duties is intended to describe the general nature and level
