Description:
The Potency Assays team is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I to assist in the development and performance of in vitro bioassays to support monoclonal antibody and antibody drug conjugate (ADC) product development. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing assays and analyzing data. They compile data in electronic laboratory notebooks and create informative tables and graphs and occasionally present at group or department meetings.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Perform assays to support sample testing, analyzing and interpreting data.
• Participates on teams performing assay qualifications and transfers to QC.
• Assists personnel in assay development and/or troubleshooting with guidance.
• May train new analysts on assays.
• Interprets data and recognizes errors or unusual results when they occur.
• Records accurate, clear, and complete experimental data and methods.
• Summarizes experimental results and presents to lab group.
• Contributes to lab upkeep and equipment maintenance.
• Contributes to technical reports and may author with guidance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• BS degree in biology other biological science and 0-2+ years of experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
• Function independently as well as actively participate in team responsibilities
• Meticulous attention to detail, quality and compliance following assay procedures, data reporting and execution of experiments
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of multitasking
• Experience and/or knowledge of mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays and plate-based assays desirable
• Accurate and good pipetting ability and knowledge of different types of pipetting techniques
