| Posting Summary | Rutgers Law School is seeking a staff attorney for the Criminal and Youth Justice Clinic's Adolescent Representation Project. The Project provides legal representation to incarcerated youth in New Jersey and engages in strategic litigation and system change advocacy on behalf of its clients. The primary responsibilities of the staff attorney are as follows: (1) provide legal representation to incarcerated youth in matters related to parole, resentencing, post-conviction relief, discipline, education, mental health and medical treatment, immigration. and others as they arise; (2) identify and pursue potential strategic litigation in areas affecting Clinic clients; (3) draft comments and/or testify on relevant proposed legislation and/or regulations; 4) working collaboratively with supervising clinical faculty and students, draft "white papers" and/or reports for public dissemination on issues affecting incarcerated youth in New Jersey. |
