  Job Summary

  Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to the PI (Dr. Paula Smith) and others working on the initiative for creating Communities that Care ( CTC ) student-led coalitions to promote mental health and prevent substance misuse on Utah’s Public Higher Education Campuses.

  2. Provide coaching to student-led coalitions and the Key Leader Board for implementing mental

  health promotion and substance misuse prevention initiatives.

  3. Provide technical assistance to student-led coalitions and the Key Leader Board to implement mental health promotion and substance misuse prevention initiatives.

  4. Collaborate with public college/university staff and faculty to ensure that initiatives are

  supported on campus.

  5. Collaborate with public college/university staff and faculty to develop a Key Leader Board that

  will provide guidance and resources for student-led mental health and substance misuse initiatives.

  6. Collaborate with state trainers to secure training for student and key leader groups on the CTC

  model and other relevant trainings.

  7. Provide technical support for evidence-based programming for mental health promotion

  and the prevention of substance misuse.

  8. Research Associate will be primarily responsible for supporting initiatives on the following

  campuses: University of Utah, Utah Valley University, Salt Lake Community College, Weber State University, and Utah State University
