Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Reproductive Health Program Manager, the program coordinator will provide assistance in delivering educational services related to sexual and reproductive health. Incumbent coordinates registration activities, compiles schedule requests and sets up facilities for programs, provides program/class development assistance and promotes the program workshops, classes and other activities to the target audience. This position is responsible for implementing, reviewing and developing the Health Advocate protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks, compliance measures, provider of workflow planning and Health Advocates scheduling.
Main Responsibilities:
Health Education
Educates patients on a variety of Reproductive Health topics
Develop and assist in coordinating health education team’s program outreach
Engages in campaigns related to reproductive health, in the Finger Lakes Community Health coverage area
Community Participation and Education Program Plan
Maintain documentation that supports activities for education
Lesson plans, outlines, meeting agenda/minutes, committee membership list, program evaluations/assessments, etc.
Program Oversight:
Asses program needs with program manager and others.
Assists in planning Annual Health Education Conference
Researches and approaches appropriate agencies to encourage expansion of FLCH services and establish new relationships
Trains and updates Front End staff regarding Family Planning benefit program
Complete required health education reports
Quality Improvement:
Assists with CVR’s as directed
Assists in Quality Improvement activities.
Analyzes reports for data accuracy.
Reviews monthly statistical reports.
Notes and reports on current trends and statistics in order to share information with patients, staff, program participants and colleagues.
Completes monthly reports in compliance with NYS Family Planning Program regulations
Supervision:
Directs, supervises, and evaluates work activities of direct reports
Reviews and approves Timesheets and Time off Requests for all direct reports
Reviews and approves Mileage sheets for all direct reports.
Conducts recruitment, interviewing, and training of direct reports.
Oversees productivity and quality performance.
Training coordination of Health Education Team Analyzing areas that we can work with to reach target audiences
Professional Development:
Participates in meetings and committees as directed by supervisor.
Attends trainings, and conferences as directed by supervisor
Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, youth work or social work and 1 or more years practical experiential work
Possesses valid New York State drivers license in compliance with FLCH drivers policy
Current New York State automobile insurance in compliance with FLCH underwriting agreement
Ability to communicate in Spanish and English preferred
Possesses the ability to flex schedule to include evenings and weekends

Must be able to hear and communicate with clients and staff via phone, web media, and in person.
