  Position Summary

  Coram/CVS is looking for a high energy health professional to join our national team as an Authorizations Rep. This rewarding opportunity allows you to work closely with our Patient Intake Coordinators and Insurance Providers to secure for In-Home IV Therapy for Coram/CVS specialty infusion patients. We believe that an Authorizations Rep plays a key role in creating a positive experience for our patients. In this dynamic and fast paced role, you will be responsible for obtaining authorizations for both our new, and existing patients. This will allow us to process timely prescription orders, while demonstrating exceptional customer service to our referrals, insurance carriers and patients. This role will require an understanding of insurance carriers and concepts including drug cards, major medical benefits, and per diem coverage as well as knowledge of government and patient assistance programs. This is a full-time benefited position and is NOT through an agency. Typical hours are Monday to Friday between 9:30AM-6:00PM PST. A Saturday rotation may be expected. OT may be required per business need.   Required Qualifications

  Minimum 1 year of experience working in a healthcare environment

  Previous experience working with prior authorizations

  Analytical and problem solving skills

  Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook

  Preferred Qualifications

  Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Third Party Vendors

  Pharmacy, PBM, or Specialty Pharmacy experience

  Experience working with healthcare insurance verification

  * Previous experience with medical billing procedures

  Education

  High School Diploma or GED

  Pay Range

  The typical pay range for this role is:

  $17.00 - $29.30

  This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
