Westwood ProfessionalServices, Inc.is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join ourrenewable energy team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamicteam of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professionalservices to our clients. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible forstructural design of foundations and ancillary structures for utilityscale wind, solar, transmission line, and substation projects. Preparesor directs the structural design reports, specifications, and plans.Review and approves project submittals, RFIs and supports fieldactivities during construction. Provide professional and technicalsupport to multiple Westwood projects. Day-to-day support and input tointernal and external Project Managers. Required Experience Bachelor\'sdegree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.EIT/FE or PE required, S.E. registration a plus. Minimum 2 years ofstructural engineering work experience required. Familiar withapplicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318).Knowledge of shallow and deep foundations, including spread footings,slab-on-grade, piles and concrete caissons. Knowledge of connection andanchorage design such as cast-in-place, post installed, welds andhigh-strength bolts. Familiar with steel member design, including wideflange, channel, pipe, plate, and angle sections. Working knowledge ofMS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) a must. Proficient with structuralengineering software, such as Mathcad, STAAD, RISA, Enercalc, and LPilea plus. Knowledge of bridge design and evaluation is a plus. Backgroundin geotechnical engineering, solar and wind energy, transmission anddistribution, and substations a plus. AutoCAD drafting experience is aplus. Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills.Ability to pay close attention to detail and check the quality of ownand others\' work. Ability to use sound engineering judgment. Ability tomanage time and workload effectively, which includes planning,organizing and prioritizing with attention to details. Minimal travelpossible.
