JOB REQUIREMENTS: POSITION SUMMARYU.S. Venture is hiring a RenewableEnergy Research Intern to support various research efforts in thegrowing Energy Industry! This internship position will require travel tovarious job sites, including but not limited to: Milwaukee, Kewaunee,and Lomira. It will be based out of our Brookfield, Wisconsin Office(12705 Robin Lane, Brookfield, WI. 53005) This internship will begin inMay/June 2024 through August 2024 and will support a full-time workschedule. The roles of the internship are split between two sets ofresponsibilities - each expecting to take 50% of the workload. Theprimary responsibility of the intern is to conduct laboratory testing asdescribed below: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lab Responsibilities: As theRenewable Energy Research Intern, this individual will support andmanage full-cycle research efforts, including: Traveling to various jobsites to collect and analyze samples of manure, biochar, and otherrelated samples Conducting different laboratory procedures to furtheranalyze the collected samples Writing reports and uploading findingsinto laboratory spreadsheets and other record keeping software Packagingand sending samples to the corresponding third-party labs Additionally,the Renewable Energy Research Intern supports the projects that theResearch & Development Team is currently working on. Summer DesignChallenge: At the start of the summer, the intern will be given aproblem statement or design challenge that the R&D Team has faced in theprevious year. With support from the R&D Team, the intern will researchpossible solutions to this problem over the course of the summer throughformal literature reviews and market analysis. The intern will thenpresent a possible solution to the challenge if one currently exists, orassist the R&D Team in designing / fabricating a prototype forovercoming the challenge if necessary. At the end of the summer, theintern will document all significant findings in both a formal report,as well as a poster presentation. QUALIFICATIONS Pursuing a 4-yeardegree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or arelated field Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, includingprograms like: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Previous chemistryor biology lab experience is preferred Strong written and verbalcommunication skills in a science/laboratory-related setting Our companyis an equal...
