　　DESCRIPTION:

　　Assists licensed nursing staff in patient care and nursing procedures.

　　Functions as part of the hemodialysis team to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy in accordance with established policies and procedures, and operates dialysis equipment under the direct supervision of licensed personnel.

　　Identifies and communicates patient s needs to registered nurse.

　　Uses understanding of the principles of growth and development to meet each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

　　Ordering supplies, picking up supplies from loading dock, weekly inventory and monthly close out.

　　Ensure that the patient care area is stocked.

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　High school graduate

　　Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

　　Previous dialysis experience

　　Successful completion of Clinical Hemodialysis Technician CCHT exam, offered by Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology BONENT or Nephrology Nursing

　　Certification Organization NNCO
