[JOB TITLE: Relief Cook[DEPARTMENT: Kodiak Senior Center[REPORTS TO: Cook and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)[SUPERVISES: n/a

　　[GENERAL FUNCTION: The person in this on call position will be responsible for preparing and serving all meals that are part of the Senior Citizens of Kodiak, Inc. programs, and making sure kitchen meets State of Alaska health standards when the cook is unavailable. This person may also perform other various duties, including but not limited to delivering home delivered meals to people.

　　[GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:[1. Operates dishwasher and makes sure all dishes are washed, sterilized and put away in proper place.[2. Washes pots and pans according to state health guidelines.[3. Assists kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals for programs at Senior Citizens of Kodiak, Inc.[4. Delivers home delivered meals and checks on seniors.[5. Does daily vehicle checklist.[6. Temporarily perform the duties of the cook or assistant cook in their absence.

　　[SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

　　[Person in this position must have ability to communicate well with people and have empathy for older persons. Must be able to work well with other staff, accept supervision and be dependable. Must be organized and be able to maintain kitchen according to State of Alaska health standards. Must have valid Alaska drivers license.

　　[WORKING CONDITIONS:[1. Exposed to body fluids, infection, odors, and behavior of participants.[2. Exposed to chemicals/cleaning solutions.

　　[PHYSICAL DEMANDS:[1. Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.[2. Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.[3. Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.[4. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the physical, mental and emotional stress of the position.[5. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
