　　Summary of Role:

　　Develop reliability models and test methodologies in the area of the package level reliability.

　　Essential Responsibilities:

　　Develop reliability models and test methodologies in the area of the package level reliability. Function as a technical lead for assigned reliability mechanisms with all around ownership in support of technology development programs and advanced packaging efforts. Define reliability specifications and reliability-related design rules in GF design manuals. Provide support for design tool implementation and enhance circuit level predictability. Work with device teams to define test structures on test sites and shuttles to support methodology development and qualification. Support on material characterization and metrology measurements related to CPI such as 4-point bend, nano-indent and fracture toughness measurements. Identify and work to resolve reliability challenges on existing and future technologies. Engage with customers as needed for design enablement through reliability. Support reliability risk assessment for manufacturing. Provide package level reliability expertise and consultation to Process Integration, Advanced Module Engineering, and Manufacturing.

　　Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.Required Qualifications:

　　Education – Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Material Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

　　Experience - Requires experience in or knowledge of: (1) Package level reliability of semiconductor devices; (2) CPI reliability physics and mechanisms on state-of-the-art technologies; (3) Thermal-mechanical behavior of materials in semiconductor packaging systems; (4) Development and execution of reliability tests (5) FEM simulation software (Ansys or Abaqus). Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, internship, or teaching.

　　Salary range: $96,720 – $103,000
