  The Application Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the sales team and power utility customers, ensuring the successful promotion and service of Electromechanical relay products. This includes creating and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and training materials, as well as delivering presentations to assist in the sales process.

  Essential: • Strong Knowledge of electromechanical relay sand its application in power utility segment.

  • Provide technical support on electromechanical relay application in power distribution networks to the sales team and customers, addressing any product-related issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. Review technical specifications of the tenders before submitting the commercial/technical proposal.

  • Develop, update, and maintain various types of technical documentation, including technical bulletins, user guides, application guides, and other support materials.

  • Collaborate with the product development and engineering teams to stay informed about product updates, new features, and potential issues.

  • Identify and report on recurring product issues, working closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to find solutions and improve customer experience. Update on website for obsolescence and alternative products.

  Desired: •

  • Assist in product training sessions, workshops, and webinars for the sales team and customers, ensuring comprehensive understanding and optimal use of Mors Smitt products.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor products to provide valuable insights for product development and sales strategies.

  • Create engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations to assist the sales team in product promotion and customer training.

  • Monitor and analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to support materials and training content accordingly.

  • Support sales department to update the price list every year

  Minimum Qualifications / Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Minimum of 10 years overall experience in which 3 years of experience in a technical support or application engineering role, preferably in a sales-driven environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction

  • Experience with creating technical documentation and training materials, including user guides, application guides, and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Knowledge of Mors Smitt products or similar technologies is a plus (Auxiliary Relays, test blocks… and their applications)

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, training sessions, or conferences.

  Competencies Professional / Personal

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with protection & auxiliary relays, test blocks and industrial control products

  • Experience in reviewing specific customer request and proposing solutions.

  • Knowledge of Electromechanical relays working principles and application

  • Good Understanding of Global relay standards IEC 60255-1, IEC 60255-26, IEC 61810-1

  • Knowledge of differential protection for power system network including busbars, generators, motors & power transformers.

  • Knowledge of Protection scheme for utility segment. Familiar with earth fault protection applications

  • Knowledge of Protection Relay ANSI codes: ANSI 50/51 - Phase Overcurrent protection, ANSI 50N/51N Earth fault protection

  • Should be able to Interpret customer requirements and convert into solution by configuring the available product
