Position Overview
The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the states leaddivision serving people with disabilities committed to diversity,equity, inclusion, accessibility, and racial justice. The mission of theDivision is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving theirgoals of employment, education, and independent living. This positioncoordinates customer case records and documents in a field officepertaining to the service delivery activities to customers in the Bureauof Customer and Community Field Services/Vocational RehabilitationProgram This position will receive formal and informal training not toexceed twelve months to learn the rules, regulations, and policies ofthe Vocational Rehabilitation Program to ultimately manage a caseloadproviding services to individuals with disabilities to gain competitiveintegrated employment. This position interprets and translatesinformation into Spanish for limited English-speaking individuals. TheDivision of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire a self-motivatedand detail-oriented individual with good communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
1. For a period not to exceed twelve months, receives formal andinformal orientation in the principles, techniques, procedures, andpolicies related to rehabilitating persons with disabilities in ageneral vocational rehabilitation, transition, Secondary TransitionExperience Program (STEP), or specialty caseload.
2. Studies and becomes proficient in utilizing the Divisions casemanagement system.
3. Travels to attend and participate in staff meetings, conferences,workshops, and in-service training related to the discipline ofrehabilitation counseling.
4. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonablywithin the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires possession of a Masters Degree from a college or universityprogram accredited by the Council On Rehabilitation Education (CORE).
OR
A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university inrehabilitation counseling, rehabilitation administration, clinicalpsychology, counseling psychology, deaf education, special education, ora closely related field.
2. Requires the ability to speak, read, and write Spanish at thecolloquial skill level.
