Job Summary:
A rehabilitation technician works under the supervision of a licensed rehabilitation therapist. It is the technician's job to help the therapist(s) provide care to patients in more effective and efficient ways. To assist in achieving this goal, the rehabilitation technician will complete a variety of administrative, clerical, infection prevention and patient care tasks. The technician will provide physical assistance for safe patient handling during therapy sessions. An employee in this role may be asked to provide patient transportation to a gym / treatment area, help to maintain equipment and facilities. A rehabilitation technician demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in age appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
