Summary This position is in located in the Assistant Secretary - Indian Affairs, Office of Regulatory Development (RACA). As a Regulatory Documentation Specialist, you will serve as the Indian Affairs International Affairs liaison, providing guidance to Indian Affairs employees with finding Collaborative Action and Dispute Resolution assistance, assisting with Tribal consultation, and performing activities and other functions supporting of RACA's reputation as a highly functioning office. Responsibilities Handling issues related to international repatriation of human remains, funerary objects, sacred objects, or objects of cultural patrimony that are currently under foreign possession. Assisting employees in obtaining official passports and visas required undertaking international travel on behalf of Indian Affairs employees. Directing and assisting employees in obtaining collaborative action and dispute resolution. Developing consultation schedules and budgets and assisting with consultation preparation and logistics. Reviewing regulatory documents and distributing draft regulatory documents to Indian country and with the Department, compiling comments. Distributing and position information of the Bureau of Indian Affairs website and other forums, coordinating and communicating with other programs, offices, and ASIA leadership. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level that includes performing all of the following: 1) serving as an information liaison; 2) demonstrated leadership, including problem solving abilities; 3) international affairs related experience and/or Tribal consultation experience or experience working with Tribal Nations; 4) experience working in a team setting; 5) experience communicating effectively both orally and written.
