Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT

Location: Victoria, BC

Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist to join our Specialty team!

This role works closely with our board-certified specialists to provide referral specialist services.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional patient care and technical skills (including anesthesia), as well as client communication skills. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement in cases with various degrees of complexity; you will also have a board-certified anesthesiologist available to weigh in on protocols and procedures.  

Specialties include Oncology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, Neurology.

Previous experience in a specialty neurology or surgery role would be an asset but is not required.

Schedule: This is a full-time position (40 hrs/week) in a fast-paced, stimulating, world-class medical environment.

Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register  

Proven ability to keep accurate patient records  

Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents  

Strong ability to problem-solve  

Willin to enhance technical skills like anesthesia, mechanical ventilator, etc.

Ability to thrive in a steady and often fast-paced environment Perform clinical procedures: venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring and patient assessment.​
