We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology Department at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center . As a Registered Veterinary Technician, in our department, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our animal patients undergoing radiation therapy. Our board certified specials and residency trained doctors are up to date on the very latest developments in their fields of: Anesthesia, Animal Rehabilitation, Cardiology, Emergency/Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology and Surgery. In addition, they have access to the most sophisticated diagnostic and treatment tools and techniques, including CT, Digital Radiography, Endoscopy, Fluoroscopy, Halcyon, Laparotomy, MRI and Ultrasonography.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of radiation therapy treatments
Monitor and induce anesthesia plans to patients during radiation therapy sessions and provide post-treatment care
Collaborate with veterinarians and other team members to ensure accurate treatment plans and patient safety
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatments
Celebrate when patients finish their radiation therapy, cancer-free!
Qualifications:
Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Strong knowledge base of veterinary anesthesia
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $24 to $32/ hour.
